Second milestone established by REACH has expired.

May 31, 2013 is the deadline for companies to register all phase-in substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities above 100 tons per year.
We have come a long way which began December 30, 2006 when the Regulation 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. First the pre-registration of substances between July and December 2008, afterwards the formation of the SIEF’s, forums to share information on substances, creating the different consortia, sharing of data needed, the issuing and acquisition of registration dossiers and finally the presentation thereof upon payment of the required registration fees before December 2010 for substances placed on the EU market in quantities greater than 1,000 tonnes per year, and now before this May 31 for substances in quantities exceeding 100 tonnes year. COMETAL has made a significant effort in dedication of resources to the strict compliance with the obligations imposed by REACH. There have been many hours of work and the expenditure of significant amounts which COMETAL has had to devote to this work, in order to make available to its customers materials that, apart from the usual great quality and service conditions, strictly comply with the legal registration obligations.
